Phil Mickelson’s HyFlyers has three names sealed, while the fourth is yet to be revealed. The announcement of the final name will be made on Tuesday, but the veteran golfer has stated that the player is “really good.”
Phil Mickelson is a six-time major champion who is now active on the LIV Golf circuit. The star golfer is the captain of HyFlyers GC, which currently features Brendan Steele, Cameron Tringale, and himself. The team has one vacant spot, as Andy Ogletree lost his membership after finishing in the drop zone.
On Monday, January 19, NUCLR Golf shared HyFlyers’ post about the new player’s announcement news.
“The HyFlyers GC are teasing a player announcement that will be made tomorrow morning. Who do you think will be joining Phil Mickelson’s LIV Golf team?” the post read.
The six time major champion responded to the post and made a subtle tease.
“He’s REALLY good 😏,” he wrote.
While Mickelson had his best season last year, HyFlyers had yet another disappointing year. The team made a third-place finish in Hong Kong, which was their first podium finish in four years. However, despite that finish, the HyFlyers could only finish fifth. It will be interesting to see how the new change works in their favor.
