The Super Bowl LX is right around the corner, and the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will be gearing up to kick the ball against each other. While both teams have only lost three games this season, Drake Maye’s team has managed to secure 17 wins, and on the other hand, Sam Darnold’s team has 16. While the final face-off between the two teams is highly anticipated among fans, it was recently also being discussed at a golf news conference.
At the WM Phoenix Open on Thursday, February 5, Michael Thorbjornsen was present at a press conference about several aspects of his game. The golfer finished his first round of the tournament with a total score of 5 under par, tying him for third position on the leaderboard. Aside from his game, the 24-year-old golfer revealed his Super Bowl prediction for this year, naming the New England Patriots as his favorite going into the game. According to Asap Sports, Thorbjornsen said,
“Obviously, I’m going to pick my Patriots.”
Thorbjornsen also talked about Drake Maye’s New England Patriots spread, but the golfer declined to pick a number himself, claiming that the game would undoubtedly be fantastic and that he hopes to keep a close eye on it. He later added,
“What is it, four and a half now? I mean, if they lose by three, I’m still going to be upset. If I go with anything, I’ll just take money line, honestly. Yeah, going to be a good game. Hopefully, I get to watch a little bit of it.”
Interestingly, while Michael Thorbjornsen is on the New England Patriots’ side, another famous PGA Tour golfer stood against them during the first round of the WM Phoenix Open, cheering on his team.
38-year-old golfer supports the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX against the New England Patriots

Joel Dahmen is, without a doubt, one of the biggest golfers competing in the WM Phoenix Open. While Dahmen hopes to make this a memorable tournament, he was spotted on the golf course during the first round sporting a Seattle Seahawks helmet. This made a huge statement for everyone, and he even told reporters after his first round that he was hoping to make a big statement for the Seahawks, but wanted to make it subtle. According to the Golf Channel, the 38-year-old golfer said,
“We were trying to figure out what to do to be subtle but still for the Seahawks, so my caddie, Ben Hulka, used to be the equipment manager for the Seahawks. It was debatable about throwing it on after such a bad shot in there, but, yeah, hit an unbelievable pitch shot that rolled in like a putt, and the environment is really special after that.”
The game between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks will take place at Levi Stadium, which has a vast capacity of 68,500 people. It is the home of the San Francisco 49ers and is hosting the big game for only the second time.
