Patrick Reed has his eyes on a win this week at the Bahrain Championship. The American golfer won the DP World Tour last week at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, and this week again teed it up on the circuit in Bahrain.
After three rounds, he settled in solo third place and is in contention to win his second consecutive event. In the post-round press conference, Reed opened up about his game and talked about winning the event. He said:
“It just depends, are you gonna be the hunted or the hunter. It looks like I’m gonna to be the hunter tomorrow.”

Patrick Reed had an incredible outing on Saturday in the third round of the Bahrain Championship. He started on the first tee hole with a birdie and then added three more birdies on the front nine.
He made a birdie, an eagle, and a bogey on the back nine for a round of 6-under 66. Meanwhile, Calum Hill took the lead in the game at 16-under. Reed will tee off for the final round on Sunday just four strokes behind the leader.

Patrick Reed Reflects on His Emotions After the Hero Dubai Desert Classic Win

Last week at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, Patrick Reed kick-started his outing with an opening round of 69. He then played the next three rounds of 66, 67, and 72. He registered a win in the game and talked about his performance in the post-round press conference last Sunday. He said:
“It hasn’t fully sunk in but it’s an amazing feeling. I always told myself that I wanted to get a win, not only at this event, but on the DP World Tour. I have technically three wins, one being a major and two WGCs but I wanted to win one out right.
“I was so close to winning in 2023, and to have an opportunity today, I’ll probably look back as one of those rounds — I knew it was going to be tough. You have to earn it and play hard. It’s satisfying, obviously, to get the win. I can’t wait to take it into next week in Bahrain and go out and play, and hopefully go back-to-back,” he added.
Notably, after the win, on Wednesday, Reed announced his exit from LIV Golf. The American golfer had planned to play on the DP World Tour in 2026 and is looking forward to making his PGA Tour return.
Meanwhile, this season so far on the DP World Tour, Reed had previously played at the Dubai Invitational and carded rounds of 69, 74, 70, and 72 and finished in 26th place. This week, the Bahrain Championship will have its finale on Sunday, February 1.
