LIV Golf’s Iron Heads GC is set to enter the new season with a rebranded identity. The team changed its name to Korean Golf Club on Monday, January 12, ahead of the new season.
Iron Heads GC featured Danny Lee as captain alongside Kevin Na, Jinichiro Kozuma and Yubin Jang in the 2025 season. However, the team will begin the 2026 season with a Korean identity.
On Monday, LIV Golf released a statement on the rebranding and stated that it reflects Korea’s growing influence on golf.
“At the heart of Korean Golf Club’s brand is an emphasis on honor, inclusivity and collective strength. Inspired by the Korean concept of brotherhood denoting respect, trust, and guidance within close relationships, Korean Golf Club celebrates unity and togetherness, and the connective power of golf.”
“The club’s new visual identity is anchored by the White Tiger (Baekho), a revered figure in Korean history and folklore symbolizing strength, protection, and resilience,” the statement read.
The Korean Golf Club’s new logo has two salient features. One is the White Tiger, a significant figure in Korean folk tales and it also features Korea’s national flower, the Rose of Sharon.
Korean Golf Club General Manager Martin Kim said that they were inspired by many young fans who followed them.
“Our tagline ‘Welcome to the club’ is reflective of the opportunity we saw to create a new space for young fans showing up. KGC is a brand that stands for the golf movement in Korea and Koreans around the world. We’re all beyond excited,” he added.
LIV currently has 13 teams of four players while five players will compete as wildcards. Anthony Kim, Richard Lee and Bjorn Hellgren qualified via LIV Golf Promotions, while Yosuke Asaji and Scott Vincent earned their cards via the International Series.
The LIV Golf 2026 season will begin with the Riyadh event at Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia from February 4-7. Eleven of the fourteen events have been unveiled, while the venues for the remaining two are yet to be announced.
