Jon Rahm received the Clutch Player of the Year award at the inaugural LIV Golf Showcase Awards. He did not win any event last season but had some remarkable performances.

This week, LIV Golf has honored the players and teams for their impressive performances in 2025. Joaquin Niemann, who has won five tournaments in the last LIV Golf season, received the MVP award. Fireballs GC’s David Puig became the Breakout Star of the Year, while Bubba Watson received the Comeback Player of the Year award.

The winners of the LIV Golf Showcase were based on players’ voting, fan voting, and committee voting. HyFlyers GC captain Phil Mickelson was voted by the committee for the Shot of the Year award.

A Look Into Jon Rahm’s 2025 LIV Golf Season

Jon Rahm started his 2025 campaign on the LIV Golf with the season-opening event in Riyadh. He played three rounds of 67 and tied for second place. He then played at the Adelaide event and had a solo sixth-place finish. He came close to winning some events, including the Chicago and Indianapolis events, but settled in second place.

In a press conference held on January 13, Jon Rahm opened up about his last season and said that he was looking forward to the upcoming season in the league. He said (via ASAP Sports):

“I played fantastic. Obviously good enough to win the individual title. But still, somewhat bittersweet because I wasn’t able to close it out individually, the event win individually. Finishing the year losing two playoffs in a row is not the easiest way to go. But still very, very consistent and very, very good golf.”

Some of the other notable finishes of Jon Rahm from the last season were solo second at the Andalucía event, solo fourth in Mexico City, and T8 in the Virginia event.
