Rory McIlroy recently gave his opinion on Patrick Reed’s current contractual troubles. Reed is still discussing his terms with the LIV Golf, and there are even whispers that he may return to the PGA Tour. McIlroy claimed in an interview that golfers like Reed, who left the PGA Tour, are now realising how wrong they were because money is not everything and the PGA is a better platform.

The Career Grand Slam winner stated that golfers coming back to the PGA will benefit the circuit in the long run. In a recent X post from NUCLR Golf, McIlroy stated,

“Patrick Reed said it in Dubai last week. It seems like some of those guys are maybe starting to realize that they’re not getting everything that they wanted out of going over there, and that’s obviously a great thing for the PGA TOUR.”

Interestingly, in the comments section of this post, the majority of fans began to sympathize with Rory McIlroy. Many fans began to argue that McIlroy is a crybaby, and this is one of his pointless and illogical statements. Fans began to ask the golfer to shut up, claiming that he is a hypocrite who should focus on golf rather than making such statements. Talking more about these fans’ comments, here’s a look at some of them,

“Hey Rory, just quit talking.” One fan stated.

“Lol Rory making things up in his mind.” Another fan pointed out.

“There he goes again, shut up and stick your crap dude.” One fan explained.

    “Petty bitch…” One fan commented.

“Rory just needs to shut the fuck up and play golf every time he opens his mouth he shows wat a hypocrite and ass clown he is JUST PLAY GOLF!!” One fan explained.

Aside from Patrick Reed, Rory McIlroy also made an interesting statement about Brooks Koepka and his tremendous return to the PGA Tour.

Brooks Koepka, who spent three years on LIV Golf, has made one of the most impressive returns to the PGA Tour under the circuit’s new Returning Member Program. Interestingly, the entire golf world is really eager for this, but it appears that Rory McIlroy is not giving it any thought. In an interview after TGL, McIlroy stated that he has a lot going on in his life and does not have time to concentrate on other golfers.

According to the Todays Golfer, McIlroy stated,

“Maybe if you’d asked me five years ago, I’d have said yes. But I’ve got too much or enough going on in my life to worry about other players at this point. I think it says more about Brooks than anything else. He obviously is a very competitive person and wants to compete at the highest level. I think he made the decision that he thought competing at the highest level meant coming back to the PGA Tour.”

Brooks Koepka will compete in his first regular tournament this week at the Farmers Insurance Open. On the other hand, Rory McIlroy is currently in the Middle East for DP World Tour events, and thus, he will miss this PGA Tour event.
