The WTGL is going to be one of the biggest new revolutions for women’s golf. It is going to be a tech-infused indoor golf league, which is made due to a big collaboration between the LPGA and Tiger Woods’ company, TMRW Sports, which he co-founded with Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy. The WTGL is going to be a women’s version of the TGL, and interestingly, two notable young golfers have been announced to join the league.
Josh Carpenter recently reported on his X account that Rose Zhang and Lottie Woad will be a part of the 2026 WTGL. Till now, more information concerning their onboarding contract and team has not been revealed in this report. Carpenter’s X-post read,
“Two more players have committed to playing in the WTGL: Rose Zhang and Lottie Woad.”
Talking about the two young golfers, Rose Zhang is recognized as one of the brightest, most promising golfers. Zhang, born in 2003, has smashed numerous records at a young age and has established herself as a dominant amateur. She was World Number 1 in Women’s Amateur golf for 141 consecutive weeks, which is one of the longest runs. She has also won amateur golf majors, including the U.S. Women’s Amateur, the U.S. Girls’ Junior, and the NCAA Division I Individual Championship, which she has won twice.
On the other hand, Lottie Woad is also not a new name in the golf world. She is a fellow countrywoman of well-known golfers such as Charley Hull, and she began her career by rising through the ranks of the English golf teams. Woad has also been ranked first in the world in women’s amateur golf and has won amateur golf majors. Interestingly, she is the first European golfer to win the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
The two of them might be a significant addition to the WTGL, as the new league is still looking for something huge.
Which prominent personalities have affirmed their commitment to the WTGL?

WTGL will be a major endeavor for Tiger Woods and his company, and many prominent golfers are likely to play in the league. The first set of significant LPGA names has committed to the name, which was even mentioned on the LPGA’s official website. This group includes golfers like Charley Hull, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, Lexi Thompson, and world number one Jeeno Thitkul.
The TMRW CEO, Mike McCarley, has also shown excitement for the WTGL, as according to the PGA Tour website, he said,
“WTGL will be a global stage to showcase LPGA stars, and this first wave of committed players represents that opportunity with some of the world’s best. These players will thrive in WTGL’s competitive environment as fans will witness their skill and connect more deeply with their personalities through the unprecedented access the league delivers with every player mic’d in the modern match play team format.”
WTGL is planned to kick off in the winter of 2026-27 as more planning is currently underway.
