Blades Brown Opens Up About His Performance at the American Express 2026
Blades Brown took the lead in the game after two rounds at The American Express, but after playing a round of 68 on Saturday, he slipped down to second place. After the third round of the event, the American golfer opened up about his performance. He said (via ASAP Sports):
“I tried to give myself as many opportunities as birdie as possible. I knew that 16 was a par-5 I could semi get to it in two. I tried to stay as far as I could away from the left side of that green. Yeah, hooped two putts coming in, and that was cool.”
He was also asked if he did his “best” on Saturday. In response, he said:
“Just staying level. There’s so many emotions that you go through in a round. I was 1-under through 15 holes, and I knew that there were some guys coming up the leaderboard that were going to make a run. I tried to put myself in as many birdie positions as possible and happened to make three coming down the stretch.”
Meanwhile, it’s Si Woo Kim who took the lead at the American Express after playing three rounds of 63, 65, and 66. He settled with a score of 22-under. The tournament is scheduled to have its finale on Sunday, January 25.
