Following the Florida Gators’ NCAA men’s basketball championship victory, beating the Houston Cougars 65-63, celebrations have been widespread, with the Gators’ 2025 NFL Draft prospects also getting in on the fun.
The Gators became the first Division I team in NCAA history to win three national titles in both football and basketball.

Florida NFL Draft Class Celebrates Men’s Basketball Championship
Immediately following the Gators’ victory, some members of the college football team, who are bound for the 2025 NFL Draft, took to social media to bask in the glory as well.
Trikweze Bridges, a safety who is currently ranked as a three-star draft prospect, posted a series of stories on his Instagram, flexing his college’s championship victory. One caption stated, “We too lit right now.”
Meanwhile, most of the Gators’ prospects, including quarterback Graham Mertz, safety R.J. Moten, wide receiver Chimere Dike, and offensive lineman Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson, all posted typical responses to the victory, reposting the championship victory posts on their Instagram Reels.
Wide receiver Elijah Badger, who was the Gators’ top receiving threat last season, recording 806 yards, reposted a photo of himself attending the game, showcasing his immediate reaction and celebration of Florida’s victory.
According to an article from College Football Network, Badger is one of the most underrated prospects in this year’s draft.

“Landing 122 places higher on CSN’s big board than the consensus at No. 162, Badger is one of the most underrated receivers in the draft.
“He still needs to develop his route tree and run crisper routes, but Badger’s athleticism, sticky hands, and ability to stretch the field should make him an asset as a WR3 as a rookie,” College Sports Network’s Owain Jones reported.
Defensive Lineman Cam Jackson wasted no time celebrating the Gators’ victory. He posted a series of Instagram Reels calling out fans who doubted Florida, including a video of him on a video call boasting about the victory.
Jackson, who spent much of his NCAA career with the Memphis Tigers before making the move to the SEC in his final season, is currently projected to go as a Day 2/3 selection, according to NFL Draft Buzz’s scouting profile.
While both fans and players will be celebrating the Gators’ NCAA victory throughout the week, with the basketball side ending their 18-year title drought, the pressure will now be on the football team, who have not won a national title since 2008.
