Three Players Ejected as Battle Line Rivalry Heats Up Between Missouri and Arkansas

Three players including Missouri RT Armand Membou were ejected following an on-field fight during the Missouri vs. Arkansas Battle Line Rivalry.

The Battle Line Rivalry just means more for the Missouri Tigers and Arkansas Razorbacks. When games mean more, you can expect it to be a heated on-field battle.

However, on the gridiron on Friday night, Missouri and Arkansas exchanged physical blows that led to the ejection of three players from the Battle Line Rivalry.

On-Field Fight Leads to Three Ejections in Missouri vs. Arkansas Game

In the middle of a hard-nosed battle on the field, tempers got the best of multiple players on both sides of the ball.

Missouri and Arkansas lost players to ejection following a big on-field brawl.

In total, Missouri tackle Armand Membou, Arkansas DT Eric Gregory and DE Zach Williams were ejected and called for personal fouls.

It all started when Missouri offensive lineman Cam’Ron Johnson carried out a block well after the final whistle on a first-and-goal carry. Johnson blocked Arkansas’ Williams into the ground before defensive end John Morgan III came to Williams’ aid.

Morgan shoved Johnson off his teammate and it led to a festive brawl on the field.

Missouri’s Membou threw what appeared to be multiple punches to Williams after Williams rose to his feet. Seeing that, it was Arkansas defensive lineman Gregory who threw punches at Membou before ripping the Missouri’s tackle helmet off.

Originally, the referees announced that Arkansas Jashaud Stewart had been ejected but a video review changed it to the correct call that saw Williams ejected instead.

It was likely the right call, yet it could have been more had it not been for the coaching staffs and referees keeping the sidelines from emptying.

Missouri scored on the very next play and this all came after Arkansas lost starting quarterback KJ Jefferson to a left leg injury.
