Fans Grill “Sore Loser” Carson Beck For Alleged Lack Of Sportsmanship After Game Ending Interception

Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck allegedly reacted unsportingly immediately after the final whistle was blown in the 27-21 loss in the national championship game against the Indiana Hoosiers.

Beck made an error in Miami’s final possession of the CFP National Championship game vs. Indiana. As the Hurricanes were setting up a stage for the comeback, Beck’s late pass in their offensive drive resulted in an interception by Indiana’s defense. Indiana took a knee afterward to run out the clock and secure the 27-21 victory to capture the program’s first-ever national title.

Interestingly, Beck walked off the field without shaking hands, showing poor sportsmanship. Fans called out the Hurricanes quarterback for not only making a passing error late in the game but also for the way he handled himself after the game.

“Carson Beck a sore loser walking off field immediately and not shaking hands! He doesn’t know how to handle as loss!” one fan commented.

“Haha Carson Beck! You end the season with an interception! Couldn’t come through when it really counted! Congratulations Indiana!” another fan reacted.

“Carson beck get ready to learn Canadian buddy,” one fan said.

“Carson Beck has entered the LinkedIn portal,” one fan wrote.

“As a Georgia fan, I knew Carson Beck would choke with an interception #indiana #miami #CFBPlayoff” another fan reacted, referencing how Beck fell short in leading Georgia to national championship.

“Carson Beck throwing a game losing interception on his last “collegiate” pass is so beautiful,” one fan sarcastically replied.

Carson Beck and Miami Came Up Short in Title Game vs. Indiana

Carson Beck injured himself in the SEC championship game last season while playing for Georgia. He first thought about declaring for the NFL draft but changed his decision to transfer to Miami under Mario Cristobal.

In his first season with Miami, Beck did incredibly well and though he couldn’t lead his team to the conference championship, the two-loss Hurricanes secured at an-large part, thanks in large part to their season opener win against Notre Dame.

On their way to the title game, Beck & Co. took out No. 7 Texas A&M and even defeated defending champions Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl Classic. In the College Football Playoff semifinal, they defeated the Ole Miss Rebels to secure a date with Indiana.

However, in the championship game, Beck went 19-32 for 232 yards with one touchdown against one interception. The performance was ordinary, and the quarterback couldn’t deliver in important moments.
