Arch Manning is one of the richest college football players currently, with an NIL valuation of over $5.4M, that includes working with brands like Uber, Red Bull, Panini and more.
Despite the massive amount he earns in NIL, Texas head coach, Steve Sarkisian, didn’t shy away from acknowledging the sacrifice Manning made at the time of his recruitment in order to help the Longhorns get more talent on board.
On Thursday, Sarkisian told the media how Manning didn’t drag NIL negotiations with the Longhorns for more money.
Sarkisian further shared that he used the money he saved on Manning to get ex-Auburn star Cam Coleman along with players like Rasheem Biles and Hollywood Smothers.
Fans had mixed reactions to the news.
“Cooper Manning (Arch’s Father): A successful businessman and media personality with an estimated net worth between $13 million and $15 million. Arch Manning NIL Valuation: Estimated over $6.8 million, with major partnerships including brands like Red Bull and Panini, 😏” one fan reacted.
“He rich already, man got 5-6 millionaires in his family tree already, he woulda played for $300K a year, he straight already, most these players come from the trenches they need a Million to change they family life, Arch don’t,” another fan pointed out.
“Well yeah he’s a nepo baby,” another fan bluntly said.
“This is why they haven’t won it all in forever probably woulda offered that 6-7 million dollars for a unproven QB because of a name throws shameful amounts of money,” another fan conspired.
“All that money and nothing to show for it. @CoachSark is the most overrated coach in CFB. Texas fans are used to mediocre so that why they haven’t called for his job. Had this been a real football program he would’ve been gone with all them resources. Can’t win the big one,’ another fan wrote.
Arch Manning Drops Blunt Statement on Parker Livingstone’s Texas Exit
The Texas Longhorns saw a shocking exit from one of their best wide receivers from the last couple of seasons, Parker Livingstone, early in the offseason.
Arch Manning and Livingstone were great friends and used to live together in Austin as well.
Livingstone not only transferred but went to the Longhorns’ biggest rivals, Oklahoma Sooners, which came as a shock for many fans.
Talking about the former WR’s decision, Arch Manning told the media on Wednesday:
“I was a little surprised, but Parker’s a good guy. He’s got a good family. Obviously, we were roommates, so I wish him all the best. Can’t say I would have done the same thing, but I wish him all the best.”
Manning went through a foot injury in January which is why he was just partially participating in the spring practices.
