Nick Marsh is attracting attention to himself for all the wrong reasons following his attendance at the Peach Bowl game between Indiana and Oregon. The wide receiver is transferring to Indiana after playing two years for the Michigan State Spartans. He caught 59 receptions for 662 yards and six touchdowns in 2025.
A photo of him from the Peach Bowl is going viral on the internet. Fans noticed what appeared to be a sports betting app on his phone screen. The app icon looked like FanDuel Sportsbook, a major real-money sports betting platform.
Fans reacted to his viral photo, alleging Marsh of wrongdoing.
“nick marsh caught with FanDuel mid Indiana game lol busted,” one fan wrote.
“honestly, the ncaa almost let them bet on pro sports but they got scared and canceled the whole thing in november. they’re still not allowed to touch any betting apps,” another fan commented.
“because he can. u cant bet on college stats on fanduel lol. so it literally dont matter,” one fan said.
Amid this, a false report from Scott Hughes is also doing the rounds on the internet. It said that March is getting investigated by the NCAA for potentially engaging in sports betting activity. However, there is no official confirmation on the same and the account is known for spreading false information.
Fans reacted to this update in their own way, as some pointed out that it was false reporting.
“How do these fake posts get so much engagement,” one fan wrote.
“Uhh ohh… Mommas gonna take away your phone again Scotty,” another fan added.
“Such an unfair bush league headline. Michigan StWR,” one fan added.
Indiana’s Nick Marsh Could Land In Trouble If Betting Allegations Have Any Merit
Under NCAA rules, student-athletes are not allowed to engage in any type of betting activity on collegiate or professional sports within the NCAA competitive landscape. However, they are allowed to bet on horse racing, auto racing, MMA, etc.
What makes Marsh’s case even more interesting is that he is only 19 years old, meaning he is below the legal minimum age (21+) in most U.S. states for using real-money sports betting apps like FanDuel.
However, there is also a possibility that the FanDuel icon seen on his screen could actually be for FanDuel Sports Network, which is intended for video and news content.
