North Carolina Tar Heels coach Bill Belichick’s daughter-in-law, Jen Belichick, has found herself in trouble after allegedly failing to appear in court for a speeding violation. Jen is the wife of Tar Heels defensive coordinator Steve Belichick.
According to Fox News, Jen was asked to appear in court after she allegedly clocked 88 mph in a 70 mph zone in Brunswick County on May 21. She was asked to appear in court on Friday for the misdemeanor charge.
Three days later, the court issued an arrest order on Monday. Jen has three options, including filing a motion to recall the order, hiring an attorney to fight the case, or turning herself in. Jen has not made any public comment so far regarding the matter.
Jen and Steve Belichick have been married for over nine years. The couple tied the knot on June 30, 2017, in Nantucket, Massachusetts. They are parents of four children.
Jen Belichick Has Issues With Bill Belichick’s Girlfriend Jordon Hudson
According to Yahoo Sports, after Bill Belichick became the head coach of the Tar Heels, Jen Belichick was not happy with Jordon Hudson’s growing influence in the life of the North Carolina football head coach.
Late last year, Jen even confronted Hudson outside Belichick’s Chapel Hill office. The whole confrontation lasted for 40 minutes, during which Jen allegedly accused Hudson of controlling Belichick and urged him to prioritize his family.
“He wants to fire you, fire you. He wants to (expletive) disown me, disown me. I don’t (expletive) care,” she reportedly said during the confrontation.
She also posted a holiday photo with Belichick’s former partner, Linda Holliday, to let Hudson know where her loyalties lie.
In May, after Jordon Hudson interrupted a CBS Sunday morning interviewer, telling them not to ask questions about their personal life, Belichick’s daughter-in-law publicly criticized Hudson. She reposted a clip of the interview on Instagram and wrote:
“Publicists act in a professional manner and don’t ‘storm’ off set delaying an interview.”
In the meantime, Belichick has defended Hudson, insisting she was “doing her job” by trying to keep the interview focused on his book. Instead, he accused CBS of editing the segment misleadingly.
