With the 2026 January transfer portal set to close in less than a week’s time, some quarterbacks have already decided on their next destination, while others are exploring new opportunities.
One of the biggest names to enter the portal is Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Dylan Raiola, who is now searching for a new program ahead of the upcoming season. Recently, a post on X claimed that Raiola was expected to visit LSU. The post also questioned whether Lane Kiffin could land the No. 1 quarterback in the portal, with Raiola supposedly slated for a Monday afternoon visit.
Despite the post quickly gaining close to 40,000 views on X, there has been no real confirmation of any LSU visit. The account that shared the claim was No3 Sports, which is a parody college sports page modeled after On3 Sports. So it seems like Raiola is not actually scheduled to visit Louisiana any time soon now.
On the field, Raiola had a productive 2025 season, throwing for 2,000 yards while recording 18 touchdowns and six interceptions for Nebraska with Matt Rhule’s side, finishing the year with a 7–5 record.
While the exact reason for Raiola’s decision to leave remains unclear, it could be connected to the dismissal of Nebraska’s offensive line coach and his uncle, Donovan Raiola.
Raiola Expected To Visit Oregon Amid Growing Buzz Around Moore’s Future
While the rumors linking Raiola to LSU don’t have any credence just yet, the quarterback is strongly linked to a Big Ten powerhouse.
The Oregon Ducks, after crashing out of the CFP semifinals again against the Indiana Hoosiers 22-56, are already looking to further reinforce their side ahead of the 2026 season, with Raiola emerging as a top candidate for them.
Raiola is also reportedly set to visit the Ducks soon now, and it won’t come as a surprise if he signs with them come next season. If Dante Moore chooses to enter the 2026 NFL draft, Raiola will most likely start for the Ducks, provided he joins the program.
