“This Dumb*** Room”: Deion Sanders Jr. Expresses Frustration About $750 Worth Hotel Stay in New York for Special Event

You would think that having a $5 million net worth would free you from worrying about petty things like how much you spend on a hotel night. Not for Deion Sanders Jr. If the hotel room is a $750 a night expenditure, he’s going to complain. Regardless of how much money he has in his bank account.

In a video from this weekend on his YouTube channel “Well Off Media,” Deion Sanders Jr. showed snippets of a recent business trip to New York. At one point in the video, he shows the hotel room he stayed at, and says:

“We’re in New York, come see what $750 a night gets you. That’s what $750 a night.” (4:50)

    “This dumba** room”, he added.

While someone might expect to get a luxurious experience for the price, he then proceeds to show a very regular-looking hotel room with no particularly fancy amenities on display. Just a regular crammed hotel room, with a flat screen TV and a bathroom.

The video doesn’t outright state why he’s in New York, but some reports speculate he might be there to coordinate marketing deals for his father’s Colorado Buffaloes and for content creation in general.

Deion Sanders Praises His Son, Cleveland’s Shedeur Sanders, For His Growth During His NFL Rookie Season

Last week, Deion Sanders made an appearance on the “The Morning Run” podcast. On the show, he opened up about his son Shedeur’s growth during his NFL rookie season. Shedeur Sanders’ journey to becoming the Cleveland Browns’ QB1 was a bit unconventional.

Initially considered a potential top-five pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, a poor performance in interviews during the NFL Combine made him drop all the way to the fifth round of the draft. He was seen as brash, arrogant, and a bit of a prima donna. Preseason and the first half of the season were an exercise in humility for him. He started the preseason camp as QB4, behind fellow draftee Dillon Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, and Super Bowl champion and veteran Joe Flacco.

Now, almost five months later, Pickett and Flacco are elsewhere, and an injury to Gabriel allowed him to fill in, leading them to their first victory in months. He led Cleveland in their last seven wins, winning three games out of their five total victories this season.

During the appearance on “The Morning Run” show, Deion Sanders was the first to admit how much his season had grown in 2025:

“I’m proud of him because a lot of things happened behind the curtain. He’s come so far spiritually. Just giving hope to people. He is a role model for people that have been ostracized”

During the show, he also admitted that he midseason Shedeur Sanders asked him when he would come see him at a game, and that he told him that he would once he started playing for the Browns. A bit of jab, but he had a chance to go see his son play.
