Colorado OC Brennan Marion Drops 3-Word Comment on Recruiting Status This Year After Disappointing 3–9 Season in 2025

Brennan Marion joined the Colorado Buffaloes in December 2025 after a short stint with the Sacramento State Hornets. He became the team’s new offensive coordinator during Deion Sanders’ worst run as a head coach with the Buffaloes.

Since joining the program, Marion has worked alongside Coach Prime and other staff to recruit key players. There’s a lot of pressure on the program and its head coach to turn things around next season.

After going 3-9 overall last season, including 1-8 in the Big 12, the Buffaloes needed some great players to strengthen the roster, and Marion believes that the program is on track and headed in the right direction.

Buffaloes reporter Scott Procter recently posted a screenshot from Marion’s Instagram story where he commented on the recruitment status of the Buffaloes.

    “Recruiting Going Well!” Marion wrote.

Coaches usually don’t put out statements like that unless they’re extremely confident of the work they’ve done in the offseason. Marion’s Instagram story suggests that the team has done well this year so far.

Based on recent updates on Colorado’s recruiting, Deion Sanders has been recruiting players across the country. Last month, Procter outlined how Sanders has brought players from different states.

Andre Adams from Tennessee, Gabe Jenkins from Pennsylvania, Ba’Roc Willis from Alabama, Kenny Fairley from Georgia, Davon Dericho from Florida, Will Rasmussen from Utah, Prince Washington from Texas, and Li’Marcus Jones from Mississippi.

Even though it’s well known that Coach Prime is relentless when it comes to building his team and instilling confidence in them, the disappointing run last season is something he’d like to forget and move on from.

Going into his fourth season with the Buffaloes, Sanders would hope to register his best season run so far.

Deion Sanders Wants to Meet Todd Monken

Apart from being a legendary football player and a football coach, Deion Sanders is also the father of a young football star. His son, Shedeur Sanders, plays for the Cleveland Browns. Now that the Browns have a new head coach, Sanders wants to meet Todd Monken to talk about Shedeur.

However, he’ll go in as Deion, the former coach of Shedeur, not the quarterback’s father, as he wants to discuss how Monken can get the best out of the young signal-caller.

“I want to meet him. Because I think it’s vital that, as a coach, not the dad, I can tell him a few things about [Shedeur], how to get him going. That wasn’t asked of me a year ago. I don’t understand it,” he said.

Coach Prime said that he wasn’t even asked about Travis Hunter, even though he coached him for years and knows his game better than any other coach.
