College football analyst Dalton Wasserman believes that Arizona State Sun Devils running back Cam Skattebo is one of the toughest and most talented players in CFB.
While discussing the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft on the “PFF College Football Show” YouTube channel, Wasserman detailed how Skattebo runs with such power that he is able force missed tackles and gain yards after contact.

What Did Dalton Wasserman Say About Cam Skattebo?
Skattebo had a phenomenal campaign this year for the Sun Devils and is widely expected to be selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. On the season, he had 1,711 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. In addition, he amassed 45 receptions for 605 receiving yards and another three receiving touchdowns.
Wasserman made clear how impressed he was with Skattebo this year.
“First of all, A plus, plus, plus. Just effort and grit and toughness that he plays with… I think he is one of those guys, and you need a few of them on your team, where you go, I think this guy is actually more satisfied hitting people than winning the ball game. Not that he doesn’t want to win,” he stated.
Cam Skattebo 2025 NFL Draft Projection
In College Sports Network’s recent 2025 NFL Draft Top 300 Big Board, Skattebo was ranked as the No. 88 prospect available. CSN’s Big Board ranks each prospect purely on talent and does not consider individual team needs or positional value, something that generally tends to influence mock drafts and the NFL Draft.
In CSN’s ranking, Skattebo was listed behind six fellow running backs, all of whom are elite options as well. Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, North Carolina’s Omarion Hampton, Iowa’s Kaleb Johnson, Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins, and Kansas State’s DJ Giddens were all listed above Skattebo.

However, none of those options truly bring a similar intensity and play style that Skattebo does.
Despite not being the top option on CSN’s ranking, Skattebo is one of the best running back prospects available in this draft class and has the ability to make an immediate impact at the NFL level. He is extremely physical and powerful, however, is also elusive and can make an impact in the passing game as a receiver and a blocker as well.
