“What A Disgrace”;”Extremely Dangerous To Future Of Mets” – Fans Shocked After NY Insider Confirms Huge Carlos Mendoza Manager Decision

The New York Mets are facing serious issues this season. However, management believes the entire organization should be held responsible rather than blaming a single individual, such as manager Carlos Mendoza or a star player.

In light of these ongoing problems, MLB.com Mets beat writer Anthony DiComo reported that the president of baseball operations, David Stearns, emphasized that Mendoza should not be faulted for the team’s struggles and that no coaching changes are expected soon.

“We know our record is not what we want, and we know we are capable of more. We don’t view this as a manager problem, and we don’t intend to make a change,” Stearns to DiComo.

Fans quickly responded to Stearns’ remarks about the team’s ongoing difficulties, with many dismissing his opinion as unfounded and calling for greater accountability from all organization members, since depending on a major turnaround is a risky gamble.

“Carlos Mendoza’s resume: 2024: Saved by Jose Iglesias, 2025: Historic collapse, 2026: Historic losing streak. Complete b—- slap to the fans. What a disgrace @StevenACohen2,” one fan commented.

“The selfishness of Stearns is on a whole other level. He knows that a dramatic and historic turnaround is the only way to save his job, so he is riding his chosen manager all the way to the gates of hell. Stearns is not only bad at his job, but has proven extremely dangerous to the future of this franchise,” another fan commented.

“Fans are gonna start chanting to fire David Stearns soon. At this point, the manager would be the fall guy for Stearns. If he waits till after the season, people will want Stearns gone,” yet another fan commented.

Other fans continued to blame the organization for large-scale irregularities that have led to poor cohesion in the clubhouse and, so far, a disastrous season.

“They shouldn’t. Difficult to win consistently with this type of lineup and pitching staff, even when Lindor and Polanco are healthy,” one fan commented.

“I am simply out of words to express how much I hate this team, their manager, and now their GM/POBO. What a disaster this has turned into since Sterns took charge—completely lost all momentum from 2024. Disgusting,” another fan commented.

“Our young, talented players, such as Alvarez, have regressed over the past three years when they should be peaking as they enter their prime. The clubhouse culture is obviously a big wreck and badly needs a reset. This is a slap in the face to all the fans,” yet another fan commented.

Mets Manager Carlos Mendoza Admitted to Being Frustrated by the Current Proceedings

On Friday morning, Stearns spoke to Mendoza, reassuring him that his job was safe and that they weren’t planning a managerial change at the moment, and stating that Mendoza had the potential to turn this disastrous start around.

Later that day, Mendoza spoke to the media in Anaheim ahead of the series opener between the Mets and the Angels at Angel Stadium.

“I understand the situation. We all understand the situation. It’s good to have that conversation with him, but at the end of the day, we have a job, and we have a responsibility,” Mendoza said.

“Since Day 1, since I’ve been in this job, I feel the support from Steve and Alex [Cohen] and David. Like, I love working for them. We have a really good working relationship here. But it’s about the results on the field as well,” he added.

“Steve is not happy. Alex is not happy. David is not happy. And I’m not happy. All of us are frustrated. Together, we’ve got to find a way to get these guys out of this funk,” Mendoza concluded.

Back on the field, the Mets have started the three-game series in Anaheim on a positive note by winning the series opener 4-3 on the backend of two important RBIs by Marcus Semien and a solid bullpen display behind a decent start from Christian Scott.
