“Mets Lose All The Time” – Donald Trump Takes Wild Shot At NY While Introducing Atlanta Braves Execs

US President Donald Trump took a shot at the New York Mets while praising the Atlanta Braves for how well they are managed.

During his campaign in Marietta, Georgia, on Wednesday, Trump publicly praised Braves executives Mike Plant and Brian Snitker, inviting both to the stage. Plant is the Braves president, and Snitker has spent 49 years with the organization in different roles, most prominently as a manager from 2016 to 2025, during which the Braves won one World Series.

While praising Plant’s work, Trump mentioned how the Mets, despite having baseball’s largest payroll, are unable to win as much.

“I like baseball. But this guy has done such a great job,” Trump said. “You know, the Mets have the highest salary in baseball, and they lose all the time, unfortunately. And I say, maybe we could steal this guy. But the way the Atlanta Braves has been managed for years and years. And he’s the CEO of the Atlanta Braves, Mike Plant. You don’t realize how good he is.”

Trump also mentioned that some of his friends who run the team in the league have been “rebuilding for years.” However, when it comes to the Braves, they are always on top of their game.

He also gave special credit to the Braves, who, despite losing Freddie Freeman in free agency to the Dodgers, have managed to remain consistent.

The Braves and the Mets belong in the same NL East division. With a 59-42 record, the Braves lead the division while the Mets are languishing at the bottom with a dismal 43-60 record.

Braves Present Donald Trump With Special Anniversary Jersey

The Braves presented President Donald Trump with a special Fourth of July 250th Anniversary jersey during his visit to Marietta, Georgia.

“Welcome to Marietta. And as you can see, Braves Country is a real thing. And you’ve got a room full of Braves Country right here. Mike and I presented President Trump with one of our Fourth of July, 250th anniversary jerseys that the team wore over that weekend,” Snitker said.

He also looked ahead to next year, adding:

“We’re going to be back in Washington about a year from now, and we’re going to give him another World Championship jersey.”

The Braves have a good shot to go deep this season. Their biggest obstacle in the National League is the Dodgers, who are looking to three-peat this year.
