    LeBron James Sends Yankees Fans Into A Frenzy After Name-Dropping MLB Giant In Hilarious Trade Buzz Talk

    The New York Yankees fans are in such a bad state that they are now trying to recruit one of the greatest NBA players of all time.

    During the Fanatics Fest 2026 live show, four-time NBA champion LeBron James was asked about his next destination by Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton. Many were expecting serious answers from the former Los Angeles Lakers star, and the audience threw in a few suggestions as well.

    “I heard Warriors… Philly… Miami… This guy said come to the Yankees,” James said.

     

    James hilariously name-dropping the MLB giant after a young fan’s suggestion has left Yankees faithful online discussing the what-ifs.

    The conversation between Haliburton and LeBron James went further. James let the Pacers guard know that he had already said to him about that behind the scenes, leading to the guard also taking back his question:

    “Okay, I’ll leave it alone.”

    James’ free agency decision has many NBA fans on the hook on where the all-time scoring leader will go for his potentially final season.

    Yankees to Sell $3B Stake to Private Equity Giant

    The Yankees are in negotiations with private equity giant Apollo Global Management for a $3 billion package consisting primarily of debt and some equity. MLB caps private equity ownership at 15%, that’s why such an arrangement.

    The deal will require MLB approval, but the Steinbrenner family is expected to remain in control of the Yankees.

    If the deal goes through, the fund will be used to finance existing debt and future expansion projects. The deal will mark Apollo’s largest investment in a U.S. sports franchise.

    The Yankees are controlled by the Steinbrenner family through holding company Yankee Global Enterprises (YGE). George Steinbrenner and his group purchased the team from CBS in 1973.

    Hal Steinbrenner is currently the Managing General Partner and Chairperson of the Yankees. His sisters, Jennifer Steinbrenner Swindal and Jessica Steinbrenner, serve as General Partners and Vice Chairpersons.

    The Yankees also have minority stakes from several business figures like Lester Crown, Jerry Speyer, and Marvin Goldklang.

    Moreover, the Yankees’ holding company is also invested in YES Network (regional sports network), AC Milan (minority stake), New York City FC (minority stake) and Legends Hospitality (co-owner with the Dallas Cowboys).
