Tennessee Lady Volunteers guard Talaysia Cooper remains a game-time decision for their SEC Tournament first-round matchup against Texas A&M. The redshirt sophomore, who leads Tennessee in scoring, was seen warming up with a brace on her right ankle after suffering an injury in the regular-season finale against Georgia.

Is Talaysia Cooper Playing Today?
Cooper rolled her ankle in the second quarter of Tennessee’s 72-69 loss to Georgia on Sunday and did not return. Initially listed as questionable on Tuesday’s SEC student-athlete availability report, her status was updated to a game-time decision on Wednesday morning.
Talaysia Cooper is listed as a game-time decision for No. 9 seed Tennessee vs. No. 16 seed Texas A&M.

The Lady Vols star was among the first on the court for pregame stretches and appeared dressed to play. She sported a brace on her injured right ankle but moved with little visible discomfort. Tennessee must submit its final availability report no later than 90 minutes before tip-off, at which point Cooper’s status will be officially confirmed.
Cooper is a critical piece for Tennessee’s postseason hopes. She leads the team with 16.7 points per game while also contributing 5.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 88 steals, and 21 blocks this season. Her presence could be the difference as Tennessee looks to avoid an early exit from the SEC Tournament.
