Mom Allison Feaster Drops 2-Word Reaction in Spanish As Sarah Strong And Teammates Support Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd vs Mystics

Several active members of the UConn Huskies, including forward Sarah Strong, made an appearance in a recent regular season game in the WNBA to support their former teammates. Strong’s mother, former WNBA player Allison Feaster, reposted a post on her Instagram story showing Strong, stalwart Ice Brady, and guard Kelis Fisher courtside during the Dallas Wings-Washington Mystics matchup.

Feaster reacted to the post with a two-word, emoji-filled Spanish message that directly translates to “The girls.” Strong, Brady, and Fisher watched the WNBA game to support their former teammates, Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd. Both Bueckers and Fudd are playing for coach Jose Fernandez’s Dallas-based franchise this season as back-to-back first overall picks.

“Las nenas,” Feaster captioned with a crying and a blue heart emoji.

Fudd, in particular, is coming off the Huskies’ 2026 NCAA Final Four loss alongside the aforementioned names, excluding Bueckers but including Strong. They lost in the national tournament semifinal game by 14 points, 62-48, at the hands of coach Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Gamecocks.

Before that, however, Bueckers, Strong, Fudd, and the rest of the Connecticut-based program won the 2025 national championship game. This gave their illustrious team its 13th national championship, defeating the Gamecocks that time around by 23 points, 82-59. With both Bueckers and Fudd in the league, only time will tell before Strong follows their footsteps, and her mother’s, in the WNBA.

Fortunately for the Huskies in attendance, Bueckers and Fudd both had tremendously efficient games for the Wings. The Hopkins, Minnesota native dropped a game-high 18 points, while Fudd pitched in a season-high 12 points, en route to Dallas beating the Mystics by 23 points, 92-69.

UConn Huskies guard Kellis Fisher was featured wearing a Dallas Wings hat

Along with the UConn Huskies making an appearance during the Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd’s game, Kelis Fisher herself was featured on the official WNBA Instagram page.

“UConn connection strong 💙 Azzi Fudd’s former @uconnwbb teammate Kelis Fisher is rockin’ Azzi’s draft gear and jersey at the Wings home game! 📺 WAS-DAL | NBCSN + Peacock,” @wnba on Instagram wrote with emojis.

Fisher was seen rocking a bright green Dallas Wings hat and flexing and pointing at it in front of a camera. The Baltimore, Maryland native was also wearing a blue Azzi Fudd Dallas Wings jersey.
