Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts recently gifted South Carolina Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley an unreleased pair of exclusive sneakers. On Friday, Feb. 27, Staley took to her X/Twitter account to upload four photos of an Air Jordan 11 in the “Jawn Air” colorway. The tenured tactician then included a hyped-up caption for the shoes.
In a report by sports writer Glenn Erby, published on Eagles Wire, it was confirmed that the pair that Staley received is actually the signature colorway of Hurts on one of the most iconic Jordan models of all time, and they are rumored to be released later this year. The pair is also said to be player-exclusive for Hurts, which was given to him by Jordan Brand after he and his team won Super Bowl LIX in 2025.
The “Jawn Air” 11s, as seen in Staley’s post on her official social media page, are in an all-green look, with different hues of the color plastered throughout. Only the midsole is different, as there is an off-white look to it. The pair is presumably draped in a mix of suede and leather materials, with a polished Jordan logo on the lateral side. Complemented with the iconic Jordan 11 translucent outsole, which is also green, the pair comes with a custom hang tag.
Staley also got a letter from Hurts that reads:
“There is no arrival. There is only the journey.”
There is no word yet as to when the Air Jordan 11 “Jawn Air” will be released, but coach Staley is one of the first few recipients of the shoe from Hurts, given the love the tenured tactician has shown Hurts and his Philadelphia-based franchise for decades now. Currently, Staley is looking to win the 2026 NCAA championship with her Gamecocks, who have an overall record of 29-2 (15-1 SEC) and lead the 2026 SEC standings.
Dawn Staley Recently Wore A Seattle Seahawks Jersey During A 2025-26 Regular-Season Game
In early February, Dawn Staley was seen rocking a Seattle Seahawks jersey, swapping out of her Philadelphia Eagles fan merchandise momentarily.
The reasoning for this was that she was supporting Seahawks standout Nick Emmanwori and his team, since Emmanwori is Gamecocks star Raven Johnson’s boyfriend.
Seattle defeated the New England Patriots to win Super Bowl LX.
