Haley Cavinder’s BF Jake Ferguson’s Support the Twins After Senior Night

Among those cheering them on was Haley Cavinder’s boyfriend, Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson. He made his support known by posting an Instagram story featuring a heartfelt moment with Haley and her twin sister, Hanna. He was posing with the sisters and Hanna’s boyfriend, Carson Beck.

The picture was initially uploaded on the Cavinder twins’ shared Instagram account, which Ferguson then reshared with the caption:

    “so proud.”

To add an emotional touch, he played Scotty McCreery’s song “Five More Minutes” in the background, perfectly capturing the significance of the occasion.

Miami’s victory came after a difficult stretch, as the team had lost five consecutive games leading up to Senior Night. However, with the motivation of playing their final home game, the Hurricanes managed to turn things around.

Haley Cavinder played a pivotal role, leading the team with 17 points, six rebounds, and four assists, while Hanna contributed five points, two rebounds, and two assists. Their performances helped Miami secure a hard-fought win in a game that meant far more than just another tally in the standings.

As the reality of their final collegiate season set in, Haley Cavinder took to social media to express her emotions about her basketball journey. On Feb. 23, she posted a heartfelt farewell video on the twins’ shared Instagram page, reflecting on her years in the sport and the impact it had on her life.

“Dear basketball, you gave younger Haley more than she could have ever dreamed. My parents stuck in and on all sports growing up, but we fell in love with you. Well, there was the bond of playing with your twin sister and the competitiveness that brought us together. We knew we found our sport together,” Haley said in the video.

She spoke about how basketball had given her both triumphs and struggles, shaping her into the person she had become.

“The competitive points you bring me to, all the highs and lows of my life, and being able to just escape and pick up the ball to quiet the noise of everything around me. The love Han and I shared over the years with you is something hard to explain because it would never truly give it light. We devoted our childhood to you,” she added.

Haley also took a moment to express her gratitude to those who had supported her throughout her career. She thanked her parents for their unwavering belief in her and her twin sister.

Additionally, she acknowledged Hanna for being by her side throughout their basketball journey. Lastly, she expressed appreciation for her coaches, teammates, and the Miami women’s basketball program for creating unforgettable experiences.

Ferguson Faces a Defining 2025 Season

While Haley Cavinder is preparing for life beyond college basketball, Ferguson is approaching a critical juncture in his professional football career. The 2025 NFL season will be a pivotal one for the Dallas Cowboys tight end as he enters the final year of his rookie contract.

Ferguson’s 2024 season was far from ideal, as he struggled with injuries and a concussion that hampered his performance. He finished the year with 494 yards and no touchdowns on 59 receptions over 14 games. A significant portion of his season was played with backup quarterback Cooper Rush, which impacted his ability to build chemistry within the offense.

However, Ferguson had previously shown great promise. In 2023, he recorded an impressive 761 yards and five touchdowns, emerging as a reliable target in the Cowboys’ passing game.

With Dallas historically hesitant to invest heavily in tight ends — seen when they allowed Dalton Schultz to leave for the Houston Texans in 2023 — Ferguson will need a strong performance in 2025 to secure a long-term deal.

As one of the most dependable offensive weapons outside of CeeDee Lamb, Ferguson has the opportunity to prove his value once again. If he can return to his 2023 form, he could solidify his place in the Cowboys’ offense and earn a lucrative contract extension. The 2025 season will be a defining moment in his career, and all eyes will be on him to deliver.
