“WNBA Continues to Kill Caitlin Clark”: Jason Whitlock Doubles Down On His Accusations as Kelsey Mitchell Gets Spotlight Fever’s Social Post

Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston were featured by the Indiana Fever on Wednesday to announce the team’s 44 nationally-televised games. In the poster, Mitchell stood front and center while Clark and Boston flanked her.

On Thursday, “The Fearless” host Jason Whitlock reacted to how the Fever presented the announcement:

“The Indiana Fever announced that all 44 of their games will be on national television, and on the promo, they had Kelsey Mitchell front and center instead of Caitlin Clark. This is intentional– the WNBA continues to kill Caitlin with paper cuts rather than embrace her.”

Over the past few years, Whitlock has harped on the idea that Clark is the meal ticket the WNBA has left unprotected. In the Fever’s post about their nationally televised games, the analyst is saying the team and the league aren’t giving her the proper credit.

Clark has been the biggest reason for the surge in ticket sales and viewership in the WNBA. Over the past two years, teams have moved certain games to accommodate fans wanting to watch Clark in action. The two-time All-Star has also been a staple in some of the most-watched games during that span.

Because of Clark’s drawing power, Jason Whitlock couldn’t resist lambasting the Fever and the WNBA for failing to make her front and center in the promotion of Indiana’s nationally televised games.

Fever Have Made Caitlin Clark Front and Center of Media Engagements

Despite Jason Whitlock’s complaints, the Indiana Fever could also argue that they have made Caitlin Clark the headliner of their social media engagements.

When the team announced its 2026 schedule in late March, Clark opened the video, lacing up her shoes. Aliyah Boston, her co-superstar, later joined the viral clip.

During the Fever’s media day on Thursday, the team posted on social media the photos Clark took for the occasion. When the team shared a behind-the-scenes look at that event, Clark was yet again the opening act.

Clark has never been hesitant to share the limelight with her teammates, so it wasn’t surprising that the Fever also gave Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull, Sophie Cunningham and others the spotlight.

However, Caitlin Clark was the star attraction in how the Fever are marketing the team to basketball fans.
