Wendell Carter Jr. Shows True Feelings on Angel Reese as She Rubs Salt in the Wound of Dallas Fans After 2-0 Start

Wendell Carter Jr. was in the comment section of Angel Reese’s latest Instagram post that attracted widespread attention from fans. The Atlanta Dream played the Dallas Wings in their second game, and the former won the matchup, 77-72. After the Dream’s win, the team’s starting forward shared a sly dig at the Wings on her Instagram post.

The couple was in the spotlight earlier when Carter Jr. and his Orlando Magic played against the Detroit Pistons in Round 1 of the NBA playoffs. Reese mocked her former boyfriend and current Pistons forward Jalen Duren by sharing videos of her current partner, Carter Jr., dunking on him. However, the tables turned, and the Pistons made a comeback after trailing the series 1-3.

Now, Reese has made waves with another of her recent updates, as she shared her off-court and on-court snaps after the Wings game. She wrote in the caption of her Instagram post:

“Game 2: Life so Gucci the boo’s started getting louder.”

Reese’s botfriend, Wendell Carter Jr., commented on the post and wrote:

    “One of one ❤️”

Reese often remains in the midst of controversy on and off the court. Earlier, she faced flak for making divisive comments on mental health professionals and how they deal with celebrities’ therapy sessions.

Interestingly, the Indiana Fever guard Raven Johnson was seemingly mesmerized by Reese’s images and caption, as she commented with several heart-eyes emojis. The Wings defeated the Fever in their season-opener game.

However, Reese and the Dream gave them a tough competition. The forward scored a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds, while Allisha Gray led the offense with 26 points and four rebounds.

Wendell Carter Jr.’s girlfriend Angel Reese gets booed by the Dallas crowd

In the Dream vs. the Wings game at College Park Center, Angel Reese ignited the crowd by giving a ‘too small’ gesture to the Wings’ veteran Odyddey Sims. That led to instant booes from the crowd, but Reese embraced the noise with both her hands up, encouraging the home fans to make more noise.

WNBA’s official X channel shared the video on X and wrote:

    “Angel said TOO SMALL”

The Dream has begun the season with a bang, collecting two back-to-back wins. Jordin Canada and Allisha Gray have commanded the offense well, while Reese has been big on the board. The 6-foot veteran guard praised Reese after the game for her locker room presence and said:

“She’s such a positive person. No matter what state we are in the game, she always brings us together.”

As the team builds more chemistry, the Dream might look like a more formidable opponent as the season progresses. They will next play against the defending champions, the Las Vegas Aces, where Angel Reese will battle against the genius and size of A’ja Wilson at State Farm Arena, Atlanta.

The 6-foot-4 center and the Aces are coming off back-to-back wins. They are currently between a doubleheader with the Connecticut Suns.
