The so-called “Caitlin Clark” effect has carried over from the college ranks to the WNBA. During Clark’s first two seasons in the league, the impact of both her presence and her absence has been felt in ticket sales, TV ratings, and various other metrics.
As the Indiana Fever star enters her third WNBA season, the league has announced that all 44 games on the Fever’s regular season schedule will be nationally televised. This piece of news has gotten Clark’s fans pumped.
“44 games, the revolution will be televised. Took a year off and yet they know where showtime is.”
“She’s the face of the league. And it’s not close. She is who fans wanna see. It’s HER”
“Well deserved, it’s business, show who majority wants to see. GO CC”
“Caitlin is fun to watch and the most marketable player in the WNBA. About time they realize this. On paper Aja is the best player but her game is boring.”
“They know where the money is coming from. This should tell the other teams something vividly”
“Dawg CC outpaced the Vegas and LA markets by herself. Indiana ain’t had this much exposure since Peyton manning”
Though the Fever went as far as the second round of the 2025 playoffs, it’s been a while since fans have since Caitlin Clark competing in the WNBA. Due to multiple injuries, Clark had to prematurely call it a season last year as she prioritized a full recovery.
When the WNBA season tips off in a few weeks, Clark will once again grace TV screens all around the U.S. as the Fever find themselves in the national spotlight once again.
“I Think Raven and Ty Have Done a Great Job”: Caitlin Clark Gives a Shoutout to Two New Acquisitions During Fever Training Camp
During a recent media availability at the Fever training camp, Caitlin Clark admitted that ball-handling duties can take a physical toll. She went on to give props to two new playmakers that the Fever have acquired this offseason: Tyasha Harris and rookie Raven Johnson.
“It is exhausting bringing the ball up the floor 94 feet versus pressure every single time, so we certainly need to find someone who can handle the ball…I think Raven and Ty, even other people through camp, have done a great job.”
The contributions of both Johnson and Harris will beef up a sturdy Fever backcourt that features Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull, and Sophie Cunningham.
