Sophie Cunningham Hilariously Replies to Caitlin Clark Wishing For Her Fever Return: “Only if You Cuddle And Make Me Dinner”

Caitlin Clark made her wish clear to see Sophie Cunningham back in an Indiana Fever jersey next season. Cunningham had a solid impact when healthy last year before a knee injury ended first season with the Fever before the playoffs. Clark also dealt with a series of ailments, and the duo didn’t get the chance to be on the floor as much.

Cunningham is one of the top free agents from the Fever this offseason. She’s expressed her desire to return. However, as the league and the players’ association negotiate a new CBA, nothing’s guaranteed for now.

On Thursday, Cunningham dropped more hints on her preferred landing spot by posting a video of her running the floor with another Fever free agent, Chloe Bibby, during a 2025 season game against the Dallas Wings.

“Miss this and Chloe Bibby,” she captioned the post.

Several Fever fans commented that they wanted her back in the team’s uniform. Caitlin Clark also joined in, saying:

    “Time to run it back.”

Sophie Cunningham had a hilarious response to her star teammate’s message as she made a couple of demands.

“Only if you cuddle and make me dinner twice a week,” she wrote.

Clark and Cunningham didn’t play much together, but they struck an excellent relationship off the court. Even in their limited time on the court, Cunningham always had Clark’s back, which earned her the “Enforcer” label and popularity among the fan base.

Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham have remained close during the offseason

Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham’s relationship has only improved since they joined forces on the Fever last season. The duo has maintained the dynamic in the offseason as well. Cunningham joined Project B in December and didn’t hesitate to ask Clark to commit to the new professional league, which commences in November 2026. Clark denied, but it didn’t deter their relationship.

Just a few weeks later, Sophie Cunningham joined Lexie Hull in caddying and supporting Caitlin Clark at the Annika Pro AM on December 27. If Cunningham returns to the Fever, Clark will likely play a major role in recruiting the 3-and-D specialist.
