The arrival of Angel Reese in Atlanta has been met with excitement as the two-time WNBA All-Star brings her rebounding prowess to a talented Dream roster. Apparently, Reese’s new teammates have gotten quite comfortable with her, as seen at a press conference Friday.

In this press conference, which featured the Dream’s new acquisitions, last year’s holdovers decided to mess around with the new girl in town.

“Angel’s annoying as hell,” Naz Hillmon said.

“Any time Angel’s been on the other side of the court, I think I had about 30,” Rhyne Howard claimed.

“Last year, I loved playing against Chicago because I had my best games,” Allisha Gray added.

As Angel Reese listened to her teammates’ comments, she appeared to take it all in stride and laughed along with the members of the media.

In the wake of Reese’s departure from the Chicago Sky, the rumor mill buzzed about her negative impact in the locker room. These speculations perhaps stemmed from her fiery Chicago Tribune interview last September, when she slammed a number of her Sky teammates (along with the front office) in a clear expression of discontentment.

It’s too early to tell if Reese will eventually go the same route in Atlanta, but for now, the likes of Howard and Gray are giving her a hilarious welcome.

“This Is Exactly What We Needed”: Dream HC Shares His Excitement Over Angel Reese Addition to Team

As for Dream head coach Karl Smesko, he was more straightforward with his upbeat feelings towards the addition of Angel Reese.

“The way her game has grown to a playmaker, decision-maker, competitor, this is exactly what we needed for this team.”

With Reese in the lineup, the Dream (which led the league in rebounds last year) is set to become even more dominant on the glass.
