The Las Vegas Aces vs Atlanta Dream matchup is one of four WNBA games scheduled on Sunday. Both teams have built momentum in the early goings of the 2026 season, but something has to give as they clash at State Farm Arena.

After starting flat with a 99-66 loss to a vengeful Phoenix Mercury squad in their season opener, the Aces have reeled off three consecutive wins. Two of these wins were blowouts: The defending champions routed the LA Sparks 105-78 on May 10, and they followed this up with a dominant 98-69 performance against the Connecticut Sun three days later.

The Sun avoided getting blown out in their rematch this past Thursday, but ultimately, Las Vegas prevailed with a 101-94 victory. That night, A’ja Wilson posted 45 points on 15-for-18 shooting from the field. Chennedy Carter, who is making her WNBA comeback with the Aces, contributed 18 points off the bench; while Jackie Young had 13 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

The Dream have played just two games on their regular season schedule, and they have yet to lose. In their season opener, they came back from a 19-point deficit to defeat the Minnesota Lynx 91-90. After 39 minutes of the Lynx having the upper hand, the Dream got their first lead of the game when Te-Hina Paopao converted on a pull-up jumper that sealed the final score with 12 seconds left in regulation.

Then, this past Tuesday, the Dream got their second win when they turned back the Dallas Wings 77-72. Allisha Gray had 26 points on 44.4% shooting from deep, while Angel Reese picked up her second double-double of the season with 12 points and 19 rebounds.
