Indiana Fever wing Lexie Hull has had an underwhelming start to the 2026 WNBA season. She’s coming off a hamstring injury, which forced her to miss the entire preseason. In two games since returning on opening night, Hull hasn’t impacted the game on either end of the floor. Against the Wings, the 3-and-D specialist went scoreless in 15 minutes, shooting 0-for-2.

On Wednesday against the Sparks, she scored her first and only point of the season, going 1-for-2 at the free-throw line. Hull played 13 minutes, missing her only field goal attempt. She’s been on a minute restriction, so it explains her limitations offensively, but Hull hasn’t performed to her usual standards on defense, either.

The lack of burst compared to the last two seasons has fans worried about the former No. 6 pick. After Lexie Hull recorded a plus-minus -5 performance in a nine-point win for Indiana against the Sparks, fans raised concerns about her injury potentially being worse than reported.

“Is Lexie Hull cooked? She doesnt look right,” one fan said.

“Something Is Definitely Up With Lexi.. This Is NOT The Lexie Hull We’re Used To Seeing, Looks A Step Behind On Alot Of Things Could Her Injury Be More Serious Than The FO Allows Us To Know?” another added.

“Getting paid $765,000 for this level of production should be considered illegal. What a racket,” one fan said.

Meanwhile, a few backed Lexie Hull due to her injury recovery.

“Hamstrings are a tough injury. Can take a while to truly feel 100%,” one fan wrote.

“Her d looked pretty good to me, I swear people stay hitting crazy turn around on her even when she’s right there, as far as her offense idk what to say,” another added.

Lexie Hull shot down concerns regarding hamstring injury before Sparks game

Lexie Hull shot down concerns about her hamstring injury on Tuesday during a media availability session during practice. Hull said she felt good, despite being on a minute restriction to begin the season.

“Good, good,” Hull said. “We still might be on a bit of a minute restriction but feel good to be out there, it’s good to be back with the girls and play live for sure.”

Hamstring injuries sometimes need players to overcome a mental hurdle before they can play to their physical strengths, especially in basketball. Lexie Hull might be battling some concerns, even if she’s physically better. The minute restriction only limits her more, so once that is off, she might be able to play as tenaciously as she does in peak shape.
