The Indiana Fever’s 2026 season has tipped off, but Sophie Cunningham’s off-court ventures continue to thrive. This week, Cunningham dazzled fans around the world with her Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover shoot.
In these photos, the Fever guard turned on the heat with black and white swim wear. One image shows Cunningham boldly covering her chest with nothing but her own hands.
This is just the latest side project that Sophie Cunningham has dipped her toes into. Last month, it was announced that the eight-year pro would be joining USA Network as a contributor. This, of course, is a natural extension of Cunningham’s stint as an analyst with her “Show Me Something” podcast.
For a moment, though, it appeared that Cunningham wasn’t thrilled with her full-time job. On an episode of “Show Me Something,” she appeared to express her disappointment with the latest deal that she signed with the Fever. Cunningham later explained that she was merely looking for longevity, but was nevertheless happy to rejoin the team.
When the Fever had their season opener against the Dallas Wings, the outcome didn’t exactly go according to plan. The Wings won that thrilling contest 107-104, with Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale proving to be too much for Indiana that night.
Cunningham finished with three points, four rebounds, and three assists in that game. The She and her teammates will now look to get on the win column when they take on the LA Sparks on Wednesday.
Sophie Cunningham Offers Advice to Angel Reese in Aftermath of Social Media Posts During Magic-Pistons Series
On a recent episode of “Show Me Something,” Sophie Cunningham gave some unsolicited advice to Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese, who’d raised eyebrows with her social media activity during the Magic-Pistons series in the NBA.
As that series progressed, Reese posted Instagram stories showing her current boyfriend Wendell Carter Jr. dunking on her ex Jalen Duren. Reacting to this, Cunningham advised Reese to let bygones be bygones.
“Something had to have happened for her to keep wanting to embarrass him in some way…Move on. Worry about your current boyfriend.”
One way or another, this clip of Cunningham will find its way to Reese, who might very well remember this “advice” when the Dream takes on the Fever for the first time this season.
