It’s no secret that Caitlin Clark and Taylor Swift have become good friends over the past few years. Last month, the Indiana Fever guard paid tribute to Swift by wearing a colorway of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro inspired by the “Love Story” singer’s Eras Tour.
During a practice session this week, a reporter asked Clark to pick between Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, two of Swift’s famous music collaborators. Clark laughed off the question.
“Oh, you guys are just trying to get me into trouble,” Clark replied.
In the same interview, Clark was also asked about her favorite “era” of Swift’s discography. After mulling the question, the two-time WNBA All-Star shared that she’d been leaning into the 2020 albums Folklore and Evermore. This might explain Clark’s hesitation to choose between Dessner and Antonoff, as both musicians worked with Swift on those two albums.
Clark’s responses to the Swift-related questions drew some enthusiastic comments from fans.
Clark has said in the past that her favorite Swift song is “Enchanted.”

As if a friendship with Taylor Swift wasn’t enough to propel Caitlin Clark to international stardom, she also got a special mention from U.S. President Donald Trump.
This week, Trump weighed in on the recent controversy surrounding Clark and the physicality that she’s been withstanding in the WNBA.
“I thought your young, wonderful basketball player Caitlin, I thought she was treated rather rough, if you want to know the truth.”
This isn’t the first time in recent weeks that Trump has crossed paths with basketball. Trump attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden.
After the game, he criticized ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith and questioned his “intelligence” to run for President.
