Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese Among Several WNBA Stars Showing Love To Raven Johnson’s Weekly Recap

It’s been two months since Raven Johnson made her WNBA debut, and from the looks of it, she’s found herself a home in the league. If her latest Instagram post is any indication, Johnson has earned the respect of teammates and adversaries alike.

In a photo dump posted on Monday, the Indiana Fever guard is all smiles with Aliyah Boston, Lexie Hull, and Monique Billings. Johnson’s caption sums up her gratitude for getting to compete alongside these players in the WNBA.

“Just a girl and some hoops”

In the comments section, players from different teams extended their support to Johnson. Notably, there were comments from former longtime rivals Caitlin Clark (“Slay”) and Angel Reese (“my raeeeee”). Players who were tagged in the photos, such as Boston (“Baddie babbyyyyy”) and Hull (“Rae Bae”), made their presence felt as well.

At this point, the narrative about a rivalry between Clark and Johnson has gone up in smoke. After fans dwelt on the infamous moment when Clark waved off Johnson during a 2023 March Madness game, photos and videos posted online have shown that the two guards are getting along just fine.

As for Reese, she has been good friends with Johnson since their days in the SEC. Though they remain on opposing teams in the WNBA, the two competitors have displayed a healthy dose of respect for each other on and off the court.

After Caitlin Clark was named a 2026 All-Star starter, Raven Johnson publicly congratulated her, calling the Fever star her “sister” and her “mamacita.” Johnson’s congratulatory clip received backlash from some netizens, who weren’t happy that she gave props to Clark.

Analyst Robin Lundberg went on to share a compilation of scathing remarks directed at Johnson, noting that the WNBA wasn’t taking serious action against this vitriol.

“No one gives a crap when anyone involved with Caitlin Clark and the Fever are on the receiving end of nonsense. Props to Raven Johnson she has strong character. But we have to stop giving life to this across the board. It’s not real life.”

In Johnson’s first year with the Fever, she has been finding out firsthand how strongly fans can feel when it comes to her superstar teammate.
