Caitlin Clark is easily one of the best players in WNBA. And considering she is playing her 3rd season in the league, she might just become the best player in history. After breaking numerous college basketball records, Clark has been smashing multiple WNBA records in just two years.

She has brought a new energy into the Indiana Fever squad. The Fever was not a top team for quite some years before Clark arrived. They had a 2nd draft pick, NaLyssa Smith from Baylor in 2022 and back to back number 1 picks, Aliyah Boston from South Carolina in 2023 and Caitlin Clark from Iowa in 2024. Rookie Caitlin Clark helped Fever reach the playoffs in 2024 after a wait of 8 long years.

In a career as exceptional as Caitlin Clark, it is certainly difficult to pick one particular moment or even phase to qualify for the proudest moment of her career. In the podcast hosted by Candace Parker and Aliyah Boston, she thought about her proudest moment and answered. However, before she answered, she playfully took a shot at teammate and ex-South Carolina star Aliyah Boston, which led to Boston sharing a story.

Clark moved her eyebrows suggestively towards Aliyah Boston and said, “in college.” She looked at Parker then back at Boston and repeated which indicated exactly what moment she meant.

The three laughed and Aliyah Boston started sharing at 26:53, “She’s actually not joking. Let me tell you something. So every day we do like breath work and like you write down certain stuff and so when we started with our breath work.”

She continued, “The doc was like you know write down like what’s one best performance in your career and then write down whatever. I want you to sit in the back row in the film room Caitlin turns around looks at me and goes I wonder what my best performance was and just stares at me. And I’m like I bet it was 41 points against South Carolina.”

Caitlin Clark scored 41 points vs South Carolina to lead Iowa to a 77-73 win in the Final Four in 2023. This performance broke the Gamecocks’ 42-game winning streak. Certainly, Clark is never letting Boston forget that night.

Caitlin Clark picks proudest moment of her career

After messing with Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark did pick one phase of her career that she could say was the proudest moment. She picked her rookie year and started explaining why.

She shared how the first 10 games felt like really overwhelming. Everything she did was under a microscope and all the eyes were on a college basketball sensation. She had garnered a lot of attention and viewership towards the WNBA after her legendary college basketball career.

She had 10 turnovers in her debut and then she was included in the USA team. “After Olympic break like I really got my footing in the league and just like proud of myself how I navigated that. And also the second half of the year was so fun and we were probably one of the best teams in the league,” she said.

“I tell people this, I tell Steph this, ’cause we played Connecticut and it was when the format was still 2-1 and we lost the first one by a good amount and really we should have won that second game in Connecticut. I know we would have won the third if it was back home in Indiana. But we were the team that really nobody wanted to match up with and we were the seven seed I think or whatever. But yeah, I’m probably most proud of that,” Clark shared.
