Caitlin Clark shared a clip of Steph Curry celebrating his team’s win after Wednesday’s play-in tournament game featuring the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers.
The Warriors eliminated the Clippers from the tournament, grabbing a 126-121 win. Curry was instrumental, finishing with a game-high 35 points, four rebounds and three assists, shooting 12-for-23, including 7-for-12 from 3-point range.
After the game, Clark posted a video of Curry on her Instagram account. The video was captioned:
“Look what it means to Steph.”

Caitlin Clark does not hide the fact that she’s a Steph Curry fan, and the four-time champion’s influence on her game is clear to see. Fans often compare the two, citing their ability to let it fly from deep, regardless of how they’re being guarded. Clark has even been referred to as the “female Steph Curry” on social media.
Following Wednesday’s win, the Warriors will go on to play the Phoenix Suns on Friday for a chance to grab the eighth seed in the Western Conference. The winner will face the OKC Thunder in the first round of the NBA playoffs.
How Caitlin Clark played a role in Steph Curry’s departure from Under Armour
According to a report from Bloomberg, Under Armour’s failed bid to sign Clark to a shoe deal played a part in Curry ending his 12-year-long relationship with the brand in November.
“One sore point for Curry was the attempt last year to recruit Caitlin Clark to join his brand, according to people familiar with the matter,” the report stated. “He and the company pursued the phenom, but Under Armour’s offer trailed the total value of Nike’s pitch, the people said. Clark, now a star in the WNBA, opted to sign with Nike.”
According to the Wall Street Journal, Under Armour offered Caitlin Clark a four-year, $16 million deal. The Indiana Fever star chose to sign with Nike on an eight-year, $28 million deal.
After signing Clark, Nike announced the Fever guard as a signature athlete, meaning they will be releasing her own signature shoe line, with the first shoe expected to debut during the 2026 WNBA season.
