Just hours after Clark’s Indiana Fever lost their season opener to the Dallas Wings, Clark was seen attending a Morgan Wallen concert at Lucas Oil Stadium. Wallen, a country pop singer, has been a controversial figure in the past, giving Clark’s detractors an opening to once again criticize her.

It didn’t help, then, that the artist whose concert she attended that night has been quite a polarizing figure. Over the past few years, Wallen has caught flak for incidents like using the “N” word in a viral clip and shunning protocols for wearing a facemask ahead of an SNL performance in 2020.
Wallen, a chart-topping recording artist, has long been characterized as a Donald Trump supporter, though there’s little to no evidence to show that he has ever publicly endorsed the U.S. president. Despite this, getting associated with Wallen has clearly given Clark a bad impression among some netizens.
