Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is known for her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes during her college basketball career. While she has translated her game tremendously well to the professional league, Clark’s impact on women’s collegiate hoops is still unprecedented. From countless long-range threes to memorable clutch shots, Clark is hailed by onlookers as one of the greatest to wear the Hawkeyes jersey.
Whenever she comes back to anything Hawkeyes-related, fans reminisce on her great college days. Just recently, user @CClarkReport on X/Twitter uploaded a photo of Clark reuniting with former Iowa teammates Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall. The three are seen sitting together in a bar, presumably getting drinks together.
Women’s basketball fans rejoiced over Clark reuniting with her former teammates.
“Fantastic. Be around people who love you for being you!,” one fan said.
“Awesome reunion time 🥰,” another fan shared with an emoji.
“I love this for her,” another user wrote.
“Back to the squad goals we all needed, now the world can finally stop guessing who stole the cookies,” a fan posted.
Other users all over X/Twitter discussed what a reunion like this could mean for Clark.
“THE WHOLE FAMILY GET TOGETHER😭❤️🩹,” one fan exclaimed.
“I just know this meant so much to Caitlin 😭🥹,” another fan claimed.
“Just what she needed ❤️,” a fan pointed out.
Clark played four years with the Hawkeyes, where she had both Marshall and Martin as teammates. Together, they reached back-to-back NCAA championship games in 2023 and 2024, along with winning the Big Ten conference regular season title multiple times. Similar to Clark, Martin plays in the WNBA for the Golden State Valkyries. She was drafted in the second round with the 18th overall pick by the Las Vegas Aces.
Caitlin Clark missed her recent regular season game due to a back injury
While Caitlin Clark has been able to play the majority of her games this year, she missed her most recent one due to a back injury. Clark was ruled out of the game against the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday, June 27, as she reaggravated her previous back injury. Fortunately for the Indiana Fever, they pulled through and won over the Sparks by 24 points, 111-87.
In the 2026 season, Clark is averaging a career-best 21.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 8.2 assists in around 30.8 minutes per contest. It remains to be seen how long she’ll be out, but her next attempt at a return is on Sunday, July 5, against the Las Vegas Aces.
