Angel Reese Absolutely Distraught With No WiFi in 18-Hour Flight to Australia for Signature Shoe Launch

Angel Reese opened up about her frustration during a difficult 18-hour flight to Australia, telling fans in her vlog that the trip was tough because the flight had no Wi-Fi.

Reese visited Australia in February to launch her new Reebok shoe, the Angel Reese 1 in Rose Dust, but she said the journey there was rough. In an episode of her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast released Thursday, she talked about the experience.

“Didn’t know there was going to be no Wi-Fi,” Reese said in her vlog. “So I literally didn’t even get my last text messages in. So it was sad. … I’m miserable. Didn’t download any movies. I’m literally just sitting here. I can’t play my shows. I’m really upset.”

As she described the situation, Reese said she learned her lesson and would prepare better next time.

“If I knew there was going to be no Wi-Fi, I would have prepared, but I was told there was going to be Wi-Fi when there wasn’t,” she said.

“Had no Wi-Fi. I won’t be flying back like this, but this was definitely humbling for sure. Just saying.”

While discussing the release of her signature shoe, Reese said it represents more than just footwear, calling it “my style, my story, and my stamp on the game.”

Angel Reese Discusses Possibility of Playing in Australia

During her February trip to Australia, Angel Reese was also asked about the possibility of playing in the WNBL, the country’s professional women’s basketball league and the longest-running female sporting competition in Australia.

“Maybe, maybe one day,” Reese said (per ESPN). “I do like Australia so maybe I’ll come out here to play one game or two.”

According to ESPN, several WNBA players have competed in the WNBL in recent seasons, including Jackie Young, Marina Mabrey, Jordin Canada and Aari McDonald.

Reese also praised Australia’s style of play, particularly the defensive intensity, singling out her former LSU teammate Last-Tear Poa.

“You guys are great defenders,” Reese said.”My favourite defensive teammate is Last-Tear, she is literally risk it all. I remember one time she got a charge, hit her head on the ground but she risked it all for the team. It gives me chills now talking about it as we won a national championship together.”
