Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers and Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson are two of the most popular players currently in the WNBA. Bueckers has entered her second year with the goal of cracking the playoffs for the first time right after her Rookie of the Year campaign. In Wilson’s case, her dominance continues after the 2025 season, where she led her team to the championship while bagging finals MVP honors.
The two have even gained praise from their NBA counterparts. On Wednesday, June 24, an interview with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2026 NBA Draft, AJ Dybantsa, resurfaced on X/Twitter from TikTok. There, sports reporter Ashten Jewell asked Dybantsa who his favorite WNBA players are. Dybantsa named both Bueckers and Wilson.
“I have a couple. I like A’ja, I Like Paige,” Dybantsa said. (0:02)

Dybantsa was recently selected by the Washington Wizards with the first overall pick after his stellar one-and-done year of college basketball with the BYU Cougars. As he gets set for his rookie stint in the 2026-27 season, Dybantsa is likely aiming to reach the highs that both Bueckers and Wilson have in their careers.
AJ Dybantsa previously shared that watching the Las Vegas Aces was one of his ways to train mentally
Back in early November last year, AJ Dybantsa and the rest of the BYU Cougars played a game at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Playing on A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces’ home floor, the Cougars defeated the Villanova Wildcats 71-66. During his post-game interview, Dybantsa admitted that he has been keeping an eye on Wilson and the rest of the Aces franchise to train, given the knowledge they provide him.
“I’m trying to get more on the WNBA side, definitely. I mean, they got a lot of talent. A’ja, doing what she’s doing. Just trying to tap in a little bit, get as much knowledge,” Dybantsa was quoted as saying.
