Caitlin Clark is one of the major stars that have been left out of WNBA’s poster for league’s completion of 30 years. The WNBA released a poster for sale featuring 20 players to celebrate the commemorative anniversary.
Clark along with legends like Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird, Maya Moore, Lauren Jackson, Tamika Catchings and Britney Griner, did not make the cut. Fans were unhappy with the selections.
“The WNBA is the most idiotic sports league of all time… Caitlin Clark is the BIGGEST superstar their league has ever had, who has single-handedly made the W notable for the first time in its 30-year history, yet she’s not on this anniversary poster. Absolute morons,” one fan unloaded.
“Year 30 poster and we got Sophie Cunningham on it, and not Tamika Catchings. we got Flau’jae on it but not Sue Bird or Lauren Jackson. We only have like 5 non-active players on it. They simply must be better,” one fan demanded.
“The Anomaly, Caitlin Clark, didn’t make the cut @WNBA The reason why so many of us are watching all these other players. Make it make sense,” another fan questioned.
“No Caitlin Clark on the WNBA’s 30th anniversary poster. You don’t hate them enough,” another fan expressed discontent.
“It seems like a pretty obvious opportunity to put either Tamika Catchings or Caitlin Clark on this for the Fever. But the WNBA puts Sophie? This literally makes no sense… Also would have loved to see Swin Cash on here for the Detroit Shock,” another fan said.
“No Taurasi, Sue Bird, Lauren Jackson, Caitlin Clark, Maya Moore, Tamika Catchings… But let’s put Aneesah Morrow, Sophie Cunningham & Rickea Jackson on the poster,” one fan listed WNBA’s deserving names.
“Since this is for 30 yrs … where is DT, Sue Bird, Maya Moore , Tamika Catchings, Candace Parker, Cynthia Cooper etc,” another asked.
“No Clark is bad. No Taurasi is worse,” another fan stated.
“No Clark No Griner I mean who runs the marketing this is horrendous work,” one fan wondered.
There have already been much speculations around Caitlin Clark this season. Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White has been the recipient of criticism from fans and analysts regarding how she has handled Clark. However, both Clark and White have dismissed all the rumors around a rift between the two.
