Good: Tanner Mordecai, QB
If you hadn’t seen Tanner Mordecai play prior to his time at Wisconsin, you were unaware of his similarities to Baker Mayfield. Mordecai hasn’t quite hit the ground running in the air, but on the ground, he sure has.
He’s commanding the ball well and has six total touchdowns this season.
Great: Hunter Wohler, S
The Badgers’ leading tackler, Hunter Wohler gets his business done at or around the line of scrimmage more often than not. Wohler is technically sound in coverage as well with two pass breakups and two interceptions, covering a ton of ground in doing so.
Grand: Ricardo Hallman, CB
Leading the team with three interceptions, Ricardo Hallman has been stellar in coverage on the outside for Wisconsin. He plays a much bigger game than his frame would indicate, and his physicality in coverage is unmatched.
Wonderful: Braelon Allen/Chez Mellusi, RBs
Not to be forgotten in the Big Ten as a formidable RB duo, Braelon Allen and Chez Mellusi have somehow shown out in Phil Longo’s offense.
With 678 rushing yards between the two of them, it’s been an incredible feat to watch them share touches in the backfield and get the job done in different, albeit similar ways.
