Where did Weigman play high school football, and where did his journey to both college football stardom and the 2025 NFL Draft circuit begin?
Where Did Conner Weigman Play in High School?
Weigman played high school football at Bridgeland High School in Cypress, Texas. There, he became the starting quarterback of the varsity team as a mere sophomore.
Returning as the full-time starter in his junior season, Weigman threw for 3,808 yards, 42 touchdowns, and just 11 interceptions. The following year, as a senior, he passed for 2,588 yards, 29 scores, and six picks. He also brought in 754 yards and nine scores as a runner.
Weigman was an extremely talented passer. Not only that, he was also an extremely talented baseball player — so much so that he was in contention to be selected in the 2022 MLB Draft before he withdrew his name.
How Did Weigman End Up at Texas A&M?
Unsurprisingly on account of his production, Weigman was a five-star recruit and one of the top overall quarterbacks in his respective class. Viewed as a gifted passer with unique ability off-platform and on the run, Weigman was a supremely coveted prospect.
Though he had offers from a host of power-conference schools, Weigman ultimately chose to sign with the Aggies, who were then led by former national champion head coach Jimbo Fisher.
Initially, the intent was that Weigman would redshirt as a true freshman in 2022. But he was ultimately thrust into the starting lineup later in the season, and he started the final four games of the 2022 campaign.
For a true freshman, Weigman performed with dazzling proficiency, passing for 896 yards, eight touchdowns, and no interceptions. His performance was such that he carried the starting role into 2023 as a true sophomore, and early in 2023, the returns were exciting.
However, after starting the 2023 campaign 3-1 and completing 82 of 119 attempts (68.9%) for 979 yards, eight TDs, and two picks, Weigman was unfortunately lost for the rest of the year with a foot injury.
Nevertheless, Weigman has since had time to recover, and he’s now ready to roll for the 2024 campaign. This marks Weigman’s first year of 2025 NFL Draft eligibility. And as a rising young passer, he’s on the radar of many evaluators as a potential first-round talent.

In particular, the wide-open 2025 NFL Draft QB class opens the door for Weigman to deliver on his potential and fill the void at the top of the board. It would be a fitting end to Weigman’s CFB career, whose greatness was hinted at as early as his high school days.
