What Is OT7? Examining Overtime’s 7×7 Football League Ahead of NFL Network’s National Broadcast

OT7 is growing in popularity, highlighted by its place on NFL Network. What exactly is OT7 and what do you need to know about it?

The summer got more football when the NFL announced it would broadcast several different brands of football starting in April. One of those options that the NFL Network will be broadcasting is OT7, a fast-paced option made up of all-star high school athletes.

What Is OT7 and What Do Fans Need to Know?

At its core, OT7 is an opportunity for athletes to build their recruiting profiles and put their names further on the map for college football and eventually the NFL. OT7 is self-defined as “content-first, fast-paced, helmet-off football that spotlights electric personalities and insane athleticism” for over 500 of the best players in the country.

Essentially acting as an all-star league for some of the best athletes around the country, each season of OT7 has served as a vessel for these players to play against the best in the nation, not just against local talent.

OT7 is Overtime’s football league and has generated a ton of buzz around the nation. That includes a robust social media following that has generated over 330 million impressions across their social channels.

It’s not hard to see why it’s so popular.

“OT7 is where you’ll find the future players of the NFL,” GM of Overtime Football Hunter Mandel said. “The competition is elite for the players who participate, some becoming 5-star prospects overnight, and for the fans who watch it.”

Season 3 of OT7 will be streamed locally on Overtime’s YouTube channel. The brand has placed itself alongside some of the giants in the football industry and has brand sponsors such as Adidas, Gatorade, Snickers, and more.

The upcoming events for OT7 take place in high school football epicenters, headlined by four weekends of action, two in Dallas, Texas, and Orlando, Florida.
