Kaidon Salter and Shedeur Sanders Show Off Their Skills

Fresh off the Super Bowl, where the Philadelphia Eagles secured their second Lombardi Trophy, Shedeur Sanders returned to the Colorado Buffaloes’ practice facility. There, he reunited with teammates and met with incoming transfer Kaidon Salter.

The two quarterbacks took to the field, displaying their throwing prowess in a session highlighting their strengths.

Sanders, who led Colorado to a 9-4 record after a dismal 1-11 season before his arrival, showed off his quick release and pinpoint accuracy. While some have questioned his arm strength, he continues to impress with well-timed and efficient throws.

Pro Football Network’s latest mock draft projects him as the No. 2 overall pick to the Cleveland Browns, a testament to his growing reputation.

Meanwhile, Salter is preparing to take over the reins at Colorado. The Liberty Flames transfer had an outstanding 2023 season, leading Conference USA in passing yards and yards per completion.

During the practice session, he demonstrated his command of the field, reinforcing why he is expected to be a strong replacement for Sanders.

Salter won’t have an easy path, though. He faces competition from freshman Julian “Ju Ju” Lewis, whom Coach Prime previously identified as a potential successor to Sanders. However, Salter welcomes the challenge.

“No promises, all competition, and I’m willing to come in and compete,” he stated in a January interview.
