The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us, and so is your need to be prepared for all of tomorrow’s stars. Dive into our spotlight on Tyler Warren, featuring his scouting report, strengths and weaknesses, his recent draft projection, and where all the experts predict he could land.

Tyler Warren’s NFL Draft Scouting Report
A potential Top 10 pick, Tyler Warren combines an ultra-reliable clutch gene with all-encompassing offensive versatility. Warren dominated to the tune of 104 catches for 1,233 yards, with eight receiving touchdowns in 2024. He also added 218 yards on 26 carries, plus four rushing touchdowns.
The Penn State offense ran entirely through his bulky 6-foot-5, 256-pound frame, and NFL teams will have a chance to emulate that. In every phase, Warren presents as a scout’s dream. He’s an efficient route runner who catches virtually everything, even with defenders inside his frame.
He’s an explosive and physical RAC threat, an offensive weapon, and a central presence who makes teams better. He’ll need to improve his hand application as a blocker, but even there, he brings the play pace and physicality to be an instant contributor.
Tyler Warren’s NFL Draft Projection
In CSN’s 7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft from April 12, Warren landed in Round 1 with the 14th overall pick. James Fragoza has this to say:
To really see if Anthony Richardson can be the answer under center, the Colts need to back him up with strong support. Drafting Tyler Warren—the TE1 of the 2025 NFL Draft—is a solid first step.
This Penn State dynamo is as versatile as tight ends come; he’s taken snaps in the wildcat, inline, in the slot, and even out wide. With his size, strength, and explosiveness, Warren is built to excel in any role, drawing comparisons to someone like George Kittle.
And in CSN’s recent 3-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Brian Burden had this to say about Warren’s selection to the San Francisco’s in Round 1 with the seventh pick:
When was the last time you saw a tight end run the Wildcat? Tyler Warren, the 2024 John Mackey Award winner, was a do-it-all weapon on offense for the Penn State Nittany Lions. The sure-handed tight end had 104 catches for 1,233 yards while scoring 12 total touchdowns.
The 6’5″, 256-pounder would allow the New York Jets to run 12 personnel sets with him and Tyler Conklin (51 receptions, 449 yards in 2024) while also providing a security blanket option underneath for new quarterback Justin Fields.
Garrett Wilson expands the sticks, Breece Hall widens the line, and Warren can either soak up or take advantage of double teams, allowing more opportunities for both.
