Charlie Kirk’s Oregon Admission Resurfaces As Ducks Face Embarrassing Peach Bowl Defeat vs Indiana

The Oregon Ducks’ dream run this season has come to an end at the Peach Bowl against the Indiana Hoosiers. The Ducks were 13-1 going into the game, had one of the best rosters in the country, and had registered multiple blowout wins during their run.

Indiana, on the other hand, remains an unbeaten team. They’ve completely dominated this season, and they managed to make the semifinal matchup look so easy. The Hoosiers breezed past the Ducks to secure their national title final spot.

Oregon suffered from the very beginning. They were off to a slow start, going 7-14 at the end of the first quarter. At halftime, it became pretty clear that unless they pull off a miracle, they were going to lose the Peach Bowl.

Indiana closed the first half at 35-7, only to come back in the third quarter and extend their lead further. They closed the game at 56-22, marking one of the most dominant performances in CFP semifinal history.

While the Ducks were suffering on the field because of Indiana’s onslaught, some fans dug up an old post from back in April 2013 by Charlie Kirk.

“Looks like Ducks football is in some trouble,” Kirk had posted.

Kirk was a right-wing political activist and media personality known for his work with Turning Point USA. He was assassinated in September 2025 while he was on stage for his Turning Point USA event “The American Comeback Tour.”

Fans immediately flocked to the comments, surprised by how a post from over a decade ago is relevant because of what Indiana did against Oregon. With this win, the Hoosiers move on to the final, where they’ll play the Miami Hurricanes for the national title.

Mark Cuban Credited Curt Cignetti for Indiana’s Success

Only two years ago, it’d have been tough for even the most ardent fan of the Hoosiers to imagine their team would be unbeaten and in the final. Their fate changed when they signed Curt Cignetti as the head coach.

Cignetti has turned Indiana into arguably the most dominant team on both ends, and they are now just one win away from claiming the national title. While in attendance for the Peach Bowl, Indiana’s donor Mark Cuban heaped praise on Cignetti and the organization.

“As much as I’d like to take credit, it’s all about the organization,” Cuban told WDRB’s Dalton Godbey. “There’s a lot of people who can throw money at a problem. But if you don’t know how to solve your problems, if you don’t know how to put together a team and organization, it doesn’t matter.”

The final will be played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on January 19.
