Ahead of NFL Draft, Heisman Winner Hunter Reaffirms His Value To Teams
As the top picks gathered on the turf in Lambeau Field before the beginning of the 2025 NFL Draft, Colorado cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter was being interviewed by reporter Kimmi Chex for NFL Network. Wearing an incandescent pink tailored blazer with a black shirt and slacks, Hunter looked highly poised and happy as Chex spoke with him.

Chex noted that teams who potentially will select Hunter have three cards prepared – one designating him as a wide receiver, one designating him as a cornerback and another marking him as both.
“How do you feel about teams being receptive to you being able to play every single snap on the field?”, she asked. “I feel that any team that’s gonna get me, they’re gonna let me do my thing, so we’ll just wait and see,” he replied.
She asked him about his outfit for the night. “I just wanted to do something different,” he said, adding, “I didn’t know what team was going to pick me,” to which Chex jokingly replied, “Maybe we should have a team put out a pink and black logo for tonight!”
After asking him if he was in contact with his former coach at Colorado, Deion Sanders, and about his walkout music, Chex asked plainly: “Any last words?” “Don’t make a mistake,” Hunter said, beaming.

Hunter is projected to be chosen at number two by the Cleveland Browns, but some observers did project that the team could pick Penn State’s Abdul Carter in the days leading up to the draft. Fans of the team added their opinions in sharing the clip posted by NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport, with many imploring them not to pass him up.
