The Colorado Buffaloes will play their first game of the season against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Aug. 29. With only a couple of days left, one can assume the kind of zone Deion Sanders must be in with his team.
We recently got a sneak peek at it as a video uploaded by “Locked On Buffs” shows Sanders giving his team a stern warning. Coach Prime is known for his no-nonsense attitude, and that’s exactly what he expects from people around him.
So, when an important game is right around the corner, he is no longer the coach the players knew a few weeks ago. His attitude changes as the game day approaches. Sanders told his students that his tolerance will drop significantly as they inch closer to the game.
“I’m a little different as closer we get to a game,” Sanders said. “I tolerate less as close we get to the game. Today may be your best day, then we gonna have a good time because as we get closer to the game, my focus is a little different.”

Athletes often get into a zone where nothing else truly matters to them. The game becomes their only priority, and that focus, in turn, helps them win the mental warfare first. As someone who played in the NFL and the MLB, Coach Prime is the best person to teach that approach to a class full of young athletes.

Deion Sanders has issued a strict classroom dress code
Coach Prime is all about his discipline and routine. In his opinion, an athlete’s appearance and behavior reflect on their personality, which plays a huge role in their job as an athlete. So, in order to ensure his players develop in more ways than one, he recently issued a strict classroom dress code.
In a video posted by his son, Deion Sanders Jr., Coach Prime is seen talking to his players and giving them the dos and don’ts on the campus.
“No slides,” Deion Sanders said. “I’m gonna send people to campus tomorrow. If I see you in slides on campus, it’s gonna be a problem. If I see you with a hoodie on in class with some headphones on in class, it’s gonna be a problem.”
“If I see you sitting in the back of a classroom, it’s gonna be a problem,” he added. “Do we understand that? And if you’re online and you have online classes and you don’t have a shirt on or you got a wife-beater on or you have some stupid on, it causes a distraction or you walk around during that online session, it’s gonna be a problem.”

Coach’s idea is to develop the character of the players that he is currently coaching. At such a young age, if these values are instilled in them and they make it a part of their personality, that’ll make them standout athletes in the long run.
